Fillmore Spencer LLC is a general practice law firm with an emphasis on business and technology companies. The recent merger of two well-known Utah County law firms, Fillmore Belliston Sheffield Madsen & Stubbs and Spencer Smith & Card, and the addition of the Salt Lake City-based Law Firm of Ashby D. Boyle II, have greatly expanded our capabilities to meet the broader needs of our growing clientele.
General Legal Services
By virtue of our recent merger, the combined firm has become more of a �full service� law firm. We are now able to provide a greater variety of legal services to our current and prospective clients, including experienced, high quality legal representation in matters of personal injury, accident and death claims, family law (divorce, adoption, etc.), and criminal defense. Many of our clients already have benefited greatly from the services of our highly regarded attorneys working in these areas of law.

We have built the firm's core competence by hiring experienced, first class lawyers with real depth in complementary business law areas. These attorneys have extensive experience developed from years of practice at some of the most distinguished law firms in the country and from prestigious government appointments and judicial clerkships.

We represent a variety of prominent and emerging computer/software, scientific and engineering companies, as well as many other types of businesses, primarily in the State of Utah, but also in the States of Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming and elsewhere. The diverse experience of individual attorneys can be assembled in a team to manage large-scale matters or tailored to meet the requirements of specific smaller engagements. We also have associated with a talented patent law firm in Salt Lake City for the benefit of our technology clients.
While we represent some large national and international corporations and businesses, our practice is by no means dominated by large clients. We relish assisting small and emerging business clients in their development and growth stages. We also enjoy counseling individuals in their personal investment and business transactions. Our attorneys' experience in servicing large and sophisticated clients enables our clients to enjoy quality legal services akin to those provided by major firms in large metropolitan areas.
Addressing Business Needs
Our fees for these services, however, range significantly lower than those charged in such metropolitan areas. We also help clients budget and control legal expenses by using fixed fees and other non-traditional arrangements in appropriate circumstances. We also accept major credit cards. With our business experience, we also are able to assist clients in many aspects of their businesses other than strictly �legal" matters, such as governmental relations, finance sourcing, and strategic partnerships.
